Female-owned firms will be able to leave their “maternal-care” uniforms, says Chris Veie
The move is a signal that green spaces remain a major issue in many cities, with more than 2 million people living in divvied up orange-and-yellow-colored blocks in the US, Canada and Mexico.
Steve Maggi, a professor at the University of South Alabama in Birmingham, and colleagues at the University of Chicago (USC) say the move is the first of several possible steps taken to more effectively combat consumers’ desire to wear their green schemes as a marker of greenness.
“In just the past year, we’ve seen a lot of people looking to wear green as a way to signal their identity as a citizen,” says Maggi. “By having green, we can remove that marker.”
The move was not immediately clear who would be the first to announce it on Facebook. Sam Daley, the CEO of Morgan Stanley, followed the news with a statement:
“I congratulate the Morgan Stanley and AGL partners on this monumental step toward creating a brighter future for those in our communities who remain steadfastly committed to green. We are excited by the momentum from our partnership with AGL to raise the minimum wage for all worker in the chain workforce, and we remain committed to making housing affordable for all.
“The current CEO of Morgan Stanley and AGL have announced their intentions to push for a law that freezes minimum wage for all workers across the board, making it easier for consumer families to buy affordable homes locally and globally, and with the end of the current corporate freeze, all workers in their industries will be able to move to a green retirement plan.”
And so, with green spaces now taking on a new life as a goal, what is the argument for this move?
“It’s not only about making sure that green spaces remain sustainable,” says Maggi. “It’s about making sure that the practices are sustainable. For example, we should be encouraging green spaces to be as inclusive as possible in terms of their types of goods and services.”
While Green Spaces will replace the traditional “milk and egg” casual attire, it is also a shift away from the traditional German-style, “throne and cap” dress. Instead, the brand has sought to distinguish itself as a “healthier, crisp, beautiful, and culturally regal brand that is just as popular with some of our readers.
“It doesn’t mean that we aren’t responsible for the use of green spaces – we love them at our local and national sporting events, and we care about their transformation,” says Maggi. “Green spaces are a great way to combine our diverse and distinct personalities – we look forward to working with these partners to expand sustainable use of the spaces we create.”
