Wells Fargo revamps Intuitive Investor platform for new generation of investors
(September 17, 2017) Lori Harrell, Founder and CEO, Wells Fargo, joined CNBC’s Meet the Press to discuss the forthcoming Intuitive Investor platform, a smart money tool and buy/sell tool intended to help investors know their money is safe and sound.
Intuitive Investor features a wealth of information, including trade modeling and trading strategies. The new 0-DTC platform, which is a “New Technology,” is designed to be “highly scalable in scale, powerful and flexible in execution,” according to Harrell’s statement. The platform is designed to work with existing financial advisors, private equity, investment bankers, and emergency fund managers, according to Harrell.
Intuitive Investor is also one of the investment bank’s most widely used financial tools, with $3.3 billion in sales from May 2017 to June 2017.
Kerr also said in his earnings call that the Intuitive Investor platform will be tested in the “next quarter” before being deployed to more profit-driven sectors.
“We are going to have a solid year of sales, and we’re going to have good results,” he said. “We’re going to see the Intuitive Investor service roll out a lot over the next year.”
In addition to the new Intuitive Investor platform, Harrell said the company will build an Intuitive Investor app to allow users to see inventory investors’ purchases and follow their spending patterns.
The Intuitive Investor platform will also include a Balanced sequel, the CEO confirmed.
Walgreens also said in its earnings report that the new Intuitive Investor platform has become mainstream in its market power.
“Investors can buy Intuitive Investor and then make the investment they need and then take the money and make the purchase they need at any time,” co-CEO and analyst James Brophy said. “The Intuitive Investor app is a strong case for Intuitive Investor and that is a good direction for our team to continue.”
Brophy said Wells Fargo also has plans to develop and release new Intuitive Investor software over the next year.
The company is also up from the last quarter of 2017 when in-depth reports on the Chicago Fed’s institutional class stocks were published. Earlier this year, Wells Fargo published a report on the U.S. state of the corporate bond market.
With new functionality being rolled out, Wells Fargo will be able to track the amount and type of investments it makes in individual or group investments, according to Schroder.
