Cloud computing is about to hit another big milestone

CEO Ralf Hofer in the interview with Martin Woebsack:

“We are talking about a big, final milestone towards the next 5 years. We will be talking about the 3D mainframes that will be developed through the 2030s, and it is time that we take a look at what has been achieved.”

Google has already begun concepting its own 2D brush algorithms and the body of work from the team was expected to show off just how well it is working with technologies like its new Glass and its spinning movement technology.

Hofer also noted that the smartphone revolution has been a big challenge and it may take the company’s leadership to address its technical limitations.

“We have to find the correct way of doing the 3D stuff. I hope we can find the right way of doing the 3D stuff. It is one of the key challenges of the human future,” she said.

“We will never last forever, but we are seeing some breakthroughs and so we will try to do almost every job we can to find the right tool.

“We will always take risks and make mistakes, but at the same time in a very smart way we are going to understand what makes us great and make mistakes, which are taking risks that are sometimes even more dangerous than we realize.”
