Most Americans Say Life Is Starting to Return to Pre-Covid Normal, a Poll Shows
WASHINGTON — A poll of more than 100,000 adults found that people say that they are at a new low in two issues — health and education.
The survey found that Americans are at an all-time low in three key measures of overall health. The survey found that a majority of Americans say that health care coverage is getting worse and that they “need to get better” and “they need more money.”
The poll also found that 68 percent of Americans, a majority, say they are seeing any one of these issues as a hindrance to their health.
In a news release, the National Association of State Legislatures said that the health and education issues were under scrutiny in the recent Gallup poll, while the education issue appeared in the report.
“We continue to see that the public’s perception of the state of our health care system is neither good nor fair,” said Maria Bruner, vice president for public health at the Tony Board of Directors.
In a statement, the National Association of State Legislatures said the overall survey found Americans are “still feeling their health care needs are getting worse and that they need more money.”
The survey was conducted Oct. 15 through Dec. 5.
